And the year that will be #MondayMusings

I had wanted to post this on Monday, the very first day of the year but I also decided to follow my word for the year which is CALM .

If it comes, let it come. If it goes, it’s ok, let it go. Let things come and go. Stay calm, don’t let anything disturb your peace, and carry on.

Part of being calm is doing things in an unhurried way so I didn’t want to rush into writing and posting on a Monday simply because it HAD to be done.

2018 will be the year when I will (hopefully) consolidate all my learning of the past year and finally have what I think is the perfect blog .

I have been writing and posting almost every day the last year and this year I plan on being more serious with #FlavoursomeTuesday. This is a weekly initiative that my blogger friend Shilpa of Metanoia is co-hosting with me . We invite you to share your foodie memories with the hashtag #FlavoursomeTuesday . I invite you all to participate to make this a success.

I will not participate in the April A to Z Challenge this year because it makes little difference to my traffic or Alexa rankings.

In fact I will concentrate on improving my content , making it a more meaningful and interactive experience for my readers.

The main focus of my blogging activity is to tie up all loose ends and get everything back on track. Now that I’ve navigated these waters, I know exactly what I want .

I also want to experiment more with increasing my social media presence especially in that new favourite platform – #Instagram.

So here’s to a productive and successful year of blogging .

I welcome your suggestions and advice ….

What is your blogging goal for 2018? Would love to know in the comments below.

  1. These are some awesome goals! It’s a shame you are not doing A-Z, I loved your series on fabrics and weaves! Hope you have a change of heart by April 🙂

  2. Calm is a great word to choose for the new year.

My word for the year is mindfulness. It is broad and fits into my goals of focusing one thing at a time. I will be joining you with a #flavoursometuesday post next week.
