After a weekend spent lying a bed (contrary to what you think I was not lolling around ) I am now finally feeling fit and fine. With the sun shining high in the sky at when it is not yet seven, when the koel is screeching madly in the garden, when my washing machine is humming away in the background, when I can hear the maid swishing away at the dust, it has finally dawned on me that Spring is now long over and I had better clear out all my cupboards before the monsoons set in.
The days seem to fly faster and faster each year and we are already one week into May! Before I know it I will be wishing this horrible year a good bye and hoping that the next will be better. Cleaning is always very therapeutic and as I shake the dust off clothes and books, I am shaking away the cobwebs in my mind.
So I’m off now to have clean shelves, well ordered cupboards and a life that I can make sense of.
A granny who always sees the humour in life and tries to do things differently. When others make cupcakes, this granny makes banana fritters. When she’s not busy chasing her grandchildren who love making her run around, she indulges in her passions of reading, writing, meeting friends and watching movies. And somewhere between all this she enjoys travelling and cooking!
