Today is International Day of Happiness

Today is International Day of Happiness.

I was surprised when I read this. In fact, I am amazed how people know what a particular day is when I find it hard to remember what day of the week it is!

Then I discovered that they went online and googled it and le voila you have it at your fingertips

Today is International Day of Blah Blah Blah and Blah

But did you know that today is International Day of Happiness as declared by the United Nations?

For God’s sake, I didn’t even know that such a day existed. Why would one want to dedicate a special day for Happiness? Do people have to be told to be happy? If they aren’t happy surely they are allowed to be unhappy?

Luckily for me, I am happy and am normally always happy so I don’t have to really observe this day especially to be happy. But for the rest of the world or people who are normally grumpy,  take inspiration from Roger Hargreaves and BE HAPPY

I am also linking this post to Write Tribe ProBlogger Challenge and wish all of you a Happy Weekend!

I too find such days redundant! All days should be all things.
