A drink for Bala #Bar-a-thon

“Drink for you Bala?” asked Vinod.

“Sure, I’ll have a Glenmorangie on the rocks.”

“On the rocks?” said Vinod with a quizzically raised eyebrow. “Are you sure?”

“Absolutely! And please make that a double while you are at it!”

Half an hour into the party, Preeti asked Bala, “What’s that your drinking?”

“On the rocks?”

“Sure, why not?”

“Oh! I thought only men liked their whiskeys with ice.”

” Ah! Well, now you know better don’t you?”

This is my take on today’s prompt :

Of Ice and Men  and I am participating in  Blogarhythm’s 2nd Edition of Bar-a-thon

even though I’m too late to officially register for the Bar-a-thon and link up.

Good one. LOL!!! Breaking the stereotypes.

    Loving your posts Sunita.

  2. I am proud to say I have female drinking buddies who can outdrink me and often go ‘on the rocks’ while I am busy diluting 🙂

It is a perceived notion that women can ‘only’ handle cocktails and not a neat drink… of course, then there is the whole ‘sanskari’ talk to intimidate them further.

I get high on a glass of wine… Whiskey might make me do the snake dance ? but I admire girls who can hold their drink.
