It’s high summer now in Mumbai with the temperatures reaching the mid 30’s. And if the Weather app is to be believed , it feels like 40. Mind, these numbers are recorded in Centigrade. So that’s really quite hot by any standards.
Ideally , it’s the perfect time to go for a movie and chill in the darkened theatre while your mind goes on a kaleidoscopic spin. Sadly, there aren’t any good ones playing.
Shopping in an air conditioned mall is another good alternative but with most of Bombay away on holiday, the streets wear a deserted look . And the malls are even more bare.
So I did the next best thing . I took a siesta.
But every body wasn’t following my cue . Armed with an egg beater and an apron, Anna Shetty got down to whip up a perfectly light lemon drizzle cake .
Just in time for tea.
Wasn’t that a lovely surprise to wake up to ?
Lucky you, Sunita!
Indeed !
Yummy cake and delicious. The perks and treat of battling everything in Mumbai, the scorching sun, the crowd and struggle.

And of course having someone to make your cake !
and I thought you were going to share a recipe!! Such a tease you are Sunita! ?
You can come over and have the cake Shalz! My daughter made the cake and the recipe is in her head 😉
I’m sure lemon drizzle must have brought the zing back.
He he and also the pounds!
