Farewell Ganesha #ThursdayTreeLove

IMG_7351[1]

This tree lined avenue is as old as the Ganesha Festival and has probably seen all the Ganpatis pass by since Lokmanya Tilak first introduced the Community ( Sarvajanik ) Ganpati in Girgaon’s chawls.

As yet, this road is still as it was in its heydays with the trees still intact.

Sharing this post with Parul and other tree lovers on #ThursdayTreeLove-71.

Ciao

Unishta

A granny who always sees the humour in life and tries to do things differently. When others make cupcakes, this granny makes banana fritters. When she’s not busy chasing her grandchildren who love making her run around, she indulges in her passions of reading, writing, meeting friends and watching movies. And somewhere between all this she enjoys travelling and cooking!

I love a street with many trees allowing them to hold each other underground and keep each other company. I long for a day when we build around the trees.

These must be hardy trees indeed to live in a city environment. These trees must have seen every kind of thing we can imagine, and more.

  3. These tress might have seen a history then.

Wow! Its great that the trees could survive so called ‘development’.. They would have many interesting anecdotes to share! 🙂
